Naegleria Fowleri

a lifeform in constant flux

A shifting, otherworldly entity shifts between natural flux and raw analog precision.
An audiovisual work capturing a sense of life that feels both strangely organic and deeply fragmented.

Naegleria Fowleri is an amorphous, shifting entity.
It presents as a lifeform in constant flux, pulsing with a fluid motion.

This work was created through a fusion of live-generated digital video techniques and circuit-bent analog video machinery.
The digital imagery is deliberately fractured by analog distortions, which introduces unpredictable, organic mutations to the form.
To preserve the raw texture of electronic interference and the specific phosphor glow of vintage technology, we filmed the final output directly from a CRT screen.
The result is a hypnotic, otherworldly entity that appears both alive and fragmented.

The visual component is accompanied by a dedicated soundscape designed to mirror the glitching nature of the visuals, anchoring the viewer in the environment.

On temporary display at Fort Honswijk.
